Surprisingly enough, these images are not photoshopped! Rather they are visual illusions, or surreal photographs, made by French artist Philippe Ramette and photographer Marc Domage. The photos were captured by tilting the camera and setting up hidden supports, if needed.
They’re the work on French artist Philippe Ramette, photographed by his collaborator Marc Domage. philippe_ramette_02
The Surreal World of Philippe Ramette. These are real images envisioned and portrayed by French artist Philippe Ramette, and photographed by his collaborator Marc Domage.
"French conceptual artist Philippe Ramette creates gravity-defying portraits that appear to be digitally manipulated but in actuality, are elaborate set-ups using cleverly designed weight-bearing structures (or lead weights for the underwater shots). These allow him to stand/sit at seemingly impossible angles, hidden by his clothes or the angle in which the shot is taken."
Just looking at these optical illusions by conceptual artist Philippe Ramette might give you a bit of vertigo. Without the use of Photoshop or any other image manipulation, Ramette seems to shift the perspective of the earth, turning it sideways or upside down. In his photos, Ramette dangles from cliffs, walks up stone walls and stands on balconies that jut out, improbably, from the surface of the sea.
