Dry, superficial & pompous. Very little information about life during the Depression. His insistence that "The 'forgotten men' of today are the doctors, lawyers, insurance men, etc. They are down and out and can do very little about it " really grated on my nerves. As far as I could discern he never lost his house, had to go hungry, or take demeaning work to make ends meet. How bad could he have really had it? This was difficult to finish.
