For over 100 years folks in Glacier Point used to dump embers from fires into Yosemite Falls to create the "firefalls". That tradition has long since been stopped by the Yosemite National Park Rangers; but today, the firefalls are created by nature. During the final two weeks of February, the firefalls can be seen from a distance if the sun is hitting Yosemite Falls at just the right angle. How spectacular is that!
