Natural Resources Cards
I think this is a really cool homework idea after a lesson on natural resources. They could be assigned to go home and cut out at least 1 picture of each type of natural resource, then we could make a classroom bulletin board. They can see how they can be found everywhere and also have a good reference to see what type of resource it is.

The students will cut out examples of nonrenewable/renewable resources from a magazine and post it on the wall. This hands on activity is a great way for the students to comprehend what the difference is between the two. NATURAL RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT
Natural Resource Chart made from magazine clippings. After students learn about the different types of natural resources, they can look through magazines and identify various examples of natural resources. It can be used review session or activity after lecture. Students can explore more deeply. YJY
This is an example of how students could make a personal connection to the uses of resources. Students could either bring in pictures, or cut out pictures from a magazine and hang them up under the correct category so they can see what every day items are made from our resources. TES
Students cut out pictures from magazines of renewable and nonrenewable resources. This is an engaging activity that allows students to grasp the difference between the two types of resources. BF
The students will cut out examples of nonrenewable/renewable resources from a magazine and post it on the wall. DONE
Natural resources: Students found pictures in a magazine of renewable, nonrenewable, and inexhaustible resources. They also found insulators, conductor, mixtures and solutions as a review!
I would split the students into groups and have them find various nonrenewable and renewable resources in magazines. They would then cut them out and post them in the correct category on the wall. This a great way for students to identify the differences between both nonrenewable and renewable resources. HKS

Using Natural Resources
This link describes a lesson that teaches that sometimes humans take more natural resources than nature can reproduce. Students are split into groups and given pretzel sticks that represent trees. Each student has a job either planting, cutting down or recording. This lesson is a great way to introduce the concept of why conservation is important and could lead into a lesson on how to conserve.
