I wonder how long, cumulatively, it took to craft all of the elements of this porch. It's not large, and for the era, it isn't particularly ornate...but today we would just pneumatically nail up some dimensional lumber, paint it, shingle the top, and call it a porch. That ain't no porch. THIS is a porch!
This Is The Type Of House I Want With A Slopped Lot With A Garage On The Side And The Basement Level With The Backyard So You Can Have A Game Room Open To A Pool, Yet Still Have The Front Door Level To The Front Yard.
Queen Anne style 1904. (This is what I think I want. Single Story. We could leave out the fancy trim, except for the FRONT of the house, and I want the turret to be part of the HOUSE itself, and the turret will have to be a half a story above the rest of the house, with a nice window seat.
