Bundle dried herbs and small pinecones in a sheet of newspaper and secure the ends with raffia or cotton twine. 2. As you pile up logs for your fire, nestle the herb bundle underneath, with paper ends sticking out. To start the fire light the newspaper ends. We don't have a fireplace, but this would be fun in a fire pit one evening.

pine cone fire starters...diy - This is the only one I could fine. but when we did it we dipped the entire pinecone into the wax and set them into paper cupcake liners. and positioned the wick. I like the dip and drip better no pouting and the cones burn very slow
