    drawer pulls -- DIY: An old dresser is painted, decoupaged with paper, sanded at the edges, stained to darken the paper, then sealed. This is a good technique to use on a damaged piece of furniture or when the veneer is chipping. Link shows no DIY, but has pictures of the steps.
