Middle Eastern Syrian (Moorish style, 20th Cent) wall mirror with inlaid mother of pearl, ebony and bone, with spindle and ball details.
I think this would be fun with one of those tacky, old gold, frames that used to be so popular. I would under-paint it with hammered bronze spray paint first, then go over it with the turquoise (or another color) but not completely cover up the bronze. Then of course you would have to have a mirror cut to fit, but that is pretty inexpensive. Would be such a FUN project! LOVE IT!!
first, I don't like the tone of blue, BUT, I like the idea of the table painted, AND the inset bench they have created on the side under the windows. I think we could do that because we happen to have a little wall to begin to define that space, and having a bench there at the window might make it a more desireable place to sit and relax (;)while cook is slaving away...
