Very nicely done, but I usually install valances higher to show more of the window & let in more light. Designers can help you with that type of thing that will enhance your windows.

I would love to have this style of curtain, just can't really find out what type of fabric to use! I know how to sew, if you have any idea please advise. Thanks

Anatomy of a swag--I find I love this slightly off-kilter style!

Fabric-Covered Curtain Rod Incorporate the curtain rod into the window topper by covering it with matching fabric. Combine a creative topper with plain panels to draw the eye upward toward the topper. This gives an illusion of height to the kitchen. Here, ball finials are covered by hemmed circles of matching gingham fabric. Gimp ties the covers in place.

This scalloped valance with bells & jabots enhances the window nicely. I'm assuming that there is another one to make a pair since one jabot is longer than the other.

I don't know where I'd put this but it's too pretty to not post and then wish i could find it later on!

Great way to quickly and cheaply make a huge upgrade that looks great by making wooden window valance. Awesome step by step instructions!

Great #valances - omg. all white/off white with wood accent living room. GORGEOUS

Swags in all different arrangements, have long occupied the center stage of curtain making. The most beautiful colors, or the best silk and tassle will lose its charm if the proportion, application and form is not what it should be. Tips on measuring and hanging.

Burlap Ruffled Valance by PaulaAndErika on Etsy. This would really look good in my breakfast area.
