Love this lampshade - burlap strips, ruffled by pulling on a string in the middle of the strip and glued onto a plain shade (an old one you don't like anymore!)

Burlap Lamp Shade with Ruffles Cottage Chic by PamelaJoyceDesigns, $29.00

Linen Lamp Shade. I re-used some "near" linen valences to create fluffy lamp shades like this. I used pink striped cording for the bow and it looks great.

Step 1: Pick up plain white drum shade. Step 2: Use spray adhesive to attach colorful burlap. For a 16″ shade you will only need 1/2 yard. Apparently if you are trying to get a coral shade you can just bleach black burlap and voila coral. Step 3: Use a glue gun and attach 1/2″ burlap ribbon border.

Monogrammed Lampshade: And the shade can be one on clearance! This would work in a Bedroom/Hallway/Entryway---I wouldn't do too many, you don't want to overdo, or look "fussy"!! I might do a small one in a corner, to add interest!
