Knot your average pony. **I tried this in my own hair... even though I have lots of long, thick hair, this style made me look like I had none! Seriously... I lost seven inches off the length of my pony tail :( Check out my "French Knotted Pony" for a variation I made... leaves more length and fullness in your pony tail, and makes for a super cool look!

Day 29 of the Hair Romance challenge - Classic Twist & Pin hairstyle

MUST TRY! Things Needed: Curling Iron, Elastic Band, Bobby Pins, Comb & Hair Spray. 1) Curl hair and create a low pony tail with the bottom middle portion of the hair & divide the rest into 3 sections 2) Tease the top portion & twist it down to the ponytail & pin it 3) Tease side portion & twist it to the ponytail & pin it 4) Repeat on other side 5) Add some hair spray & you are ready to go!

Tutorial: Prim & Proper for the Modern Bride. I wore this to work the other day and it held up beautifully with only 2 elastics and 4 bobby pins! If you know me, you know I have extremely thick, wavy hair, so that's definitely saying something!

. It’s just a regular braid, but instead of taking 3 equal sized pieces like you do in a normal braid, you just make one piece smaller than the other 2.

Best thing is; it’s easy to do, gorgeous and keeps your hair out of your way for the night. I made this a printable tutorial, so all of the steps are next to the photos. Enjoy! Tools you’ll need: curling iron (to prep the hair with waves), sectioning clips, teasing comb or brush, clear elastic rubber band, bobby pins, light to medium holding hairspray (to mist over at the end).

THE FUN BUN aka how to do a top knot. this is actually really easy for short-ish hair too! just a few more bobby pins keeping the hair up top.

One-sided French Braid. It works on literally any hair type – short, long, curly, pin straight, anything! It’s so great for those mornings when you’re in a rush, but need something to pull your look together. Think of it as a french braid, but you only add in new hair from one side.

I love the idea of doing this to my hair, but I have two problems: 1, what the heck do you do in step 5? Seriously, what? and 2, I really don't understand how to work bobby pins. This is why I'm afraid that I'll show up to my friend's wedding with my hair in a ponytail because I don't know what else I can do with it.
