۞ Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock, 1899–1980, in Leytonstone, England, was an English Film Director/Producer. He pioneered many techniques in the suspense and psychological thriller genres. Often regarded as the greatest British filmmaker. Hitchcock moved to Hollywood in 1939 and became a US citizen in 1955. He is widely regarded as one of cinema's most significant artists. Hitchcock died in Bel Air, California, of renal failure in 1980. He was 80.
