Rabbits should be kept in the house. They can die from FRIGHT from a predator even if the predator cannot get to them. Don't panic, they are happy to use a litterbox. rabbit.org/
Rabbits live outside! Unless you get extreme hot summers (like we do here in Texas) living outside in the proper environment is fine. My rabbit lived outside except during summer as it was too hot.
