FISH DIY Fish out of ribbon! Sometimes it isn't always feasible to have live fish on your haft sin, so I made two "goldfish", hung them from small dowels (to give the appearance of swimming) and placed the dowels in a lovely blue vase to hang over a mirror. It is the same effect of a swimming fish, without having to adopt a new pet!

DIY Ribbon Fish. Inspiration: I spotted this photo (top) and used google image search to find out it was from Etsy here. Apparently the hair clip was only $2.50, so why make it? But alas, as in so many Etsy cases, it’s no longer for sale. But I loved this idea for a Holiday or birthday present and found a tutorial for it (so happy) at Love My Tapes here. Just glue a backing on and you’re done. So cute. *Note: Etsy Clip made with 3” Grosgrain ribbon fish attached to a 1 3/4

Back in the 70's I made these from 3/4" Hallmark satin ribbon(split in half), and then made a mobile from florist wire. I used thread or monofilament to hand them, so they looked like a school of fish...very cute and I sold them at the church bazaar every year.
