I am thinking shampoo, bubble bath, the dozens of those mesh washing thingees....this is s great idea for grownup toys, too!

This is a great idea! I would almost do this just for me above a desk. Pens and pencils, scissors, glue, hole punch, all the things I don't want ON my desk.

DIY branch curtain rod--I've have done this, but not have painted the branch. Might just have to do that sometime.
