This beautiful eagle bracelet was hand made by First Nations artist William Cook from Alert Bay. Repoussé or repoussage is an ancient metal crafting technique. The word comes from the French verb pousser (to push). Repoussé creates decorative forms on the surface of the metal by pushing outward from one side, usually from the interior of a vessel outward. Repeatedly pounding a hammer or mallet by hand does the job. #Repousse #Repoussage #Firstnationsart #Sterlingsilver
