KFC Coleslaw

Produce

1 head Cabbage
1 Carrot (about 1/4 cup), medium
2 tbsp Onion

Condiments

2 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice
1/2 cup Mayonnaise

Baking & Spices

1/3 cup Granulated sugar
1/8 tsp Pepper
1/2 tsp Salt

Oils & Vinegars

1 1/2 tbsp White vinegar

Dairy

1/4 cup Buttermilk
1/4 cup Milk

8 cup cabbage, finely chopped 1⁄4 cup carrot, shredded 1⁄3 cup sugar 1⁄2 tsp salt 1⁄8 tsp pepper 1⁄4 cup milk 1⁄2 cup mayonnaise 1⁄4 cup buttermilk 1 1⁄2 tbsp white vinegar 2 1⁄2 tbsp lemon juice Directions Cut cabbage and carrots into small pieces about the size of rice kernels or place in a food processor. In a salad bowl, combine sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar, and lemon juice. Beat until smooth. Add cabbage and carrots. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate.

Coleslaw...this sounds so much like the dressing my mother made. The slaw was crunchy and paired well with everything from seafood to pork! Will give this a try this week!

Apple Coleslaw Mix the dressing and honey in large bowl. Add the coleslaw and apples and mix together. The mixture might seem dry but it will be plenty once the mixture has chilled in the fridge since the cabbage will release some liquid. Salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate at least one hour to let the flavors blend.
