How to Wash and Cut Burlap! Get rid of the smell, soften the burlap, and even out the edges so it doesn't fray! SO easy and worth the extra little effort.

This easy trick to will not only stop the fraying, but it guarantees a straight cut on burlap!

Use burlap or felt to make no-sew curtains. Glue the side seams and duct tape the hem. I'm thinking too that this picture would be a great frayed-bottom of a curtain since burlap holds well when ironed. Then hand-stitch in place, and even cover the stitching with ribbon or duct tape.
