Love the sofa. /// Citrus Zest: Vibrant juicy colors can't help but wake up an otherwise bland room. And in this case, the zesty hues also work into the fall and winter months because of their muted shades. Inspired by the art above the mantel, this room's color palette pulls in warm yellows, garden greens, with light brown touches in the nesting tables and woven chair. Creamy white walls and ceiling make a restful backdrop for the palette that works all year round..

I am not a huge fan of the curtains here but I like the contrast of the molding and paint color and the mantle...

Love the chocolate walls makes it very easy to add accent colors around :)

While the sconces are way too schnorkeldy (is that a word?) for me, I like the window treatment. Maybe not in a chintz, but I like the way it is butted up to the ceiling molding which makes the window and the room look larger!

Would love for this kind of nook in our bedroom when we renovate including the shutters. Change the window to patio doors.

officially in love with that purple/magenta chair. It's small enough for the color to not be overwhelming and Barneyish.

Contemporary style is so cozy and modern. You can use the the newest trends, like patterned pillows and cooper objects. See more decor tips here:
