dandelions and dragonflies: Social Studies Interactive notes

Love that this journal is so simple. Post picture of historical figure on the left and put your notes on the right. Could also use this idea for tests. When asking a question about a certain person you could use their name AND face for kids that remember faces better than names.
Social Studies Interactive notes... Could be used with poets and authors or taking notes when kids do individual bio reports...
Although this is a Social Studies Interactive notebook, I could do something like this page for deaf Americans.
Potential Activity for my interactive social studies notebooks. Student notebooks - printed 1/2 sheet with important pictures/information, kids use other half to write understanding/learning/etc.

Hey hey we're the mummies!
The 7 Most Terrifying Archaeological Discoveries. "Balls, archeologists. Pure balls. However much we pay you to taunt furious ghosts just so we can have fun stuff to look at in museums, you totally deserve a raise."
If the jaw isn't strapped shut when a body is mummified, it naturally falls open during the process of decay, leaving a permanent "scream." Most modern burial practices account for this -- the ghost of Jacob Marley, Scrooge's business partner in A Christmas Carol, is always shown with that weird headband/chinstrap for precisely this reason.
The 7 Most Terrifying Archaeological Discoveries (kind of creepy but I like the history)

Literacy & Math Ideas: Interactive Reading Journals
This is another insert for an interactive notebook. This would either go in the language arts notebook, or in an integrated notebook for this topic. The insert would be a picture related to the Industrial Revolution, and students would write a caption, summary, or short fictional story describing the picture. - LBK
