Boston Tea Party was on December 16, 1773. Colonists got a little too vexed by the Tea Act, so as a major protest, the Sons of Liberty dressed as Mohawk Indians and dumped thousands of gallons of tea into the Boston Harbor. This tea was from the British East India Tea Company. The British Officials were outraged. They spent a lot of time thinking of a way of punishing ONLY Massachusets.

Carpetbaggers, a negative term Southerners gave to those who moved to the South during the Reconstruction era, following the American Civil War. Many of these relocated northerners were motivated by questionable objectives, including buying up plantations at extremely reduced prices.
