Only the image, but could probably duplicate. When the meltdown starts, pick a calming activity.

When the melt down is starting have child pick a calm down activity Great Visual. I'd add a few more to mine: Run around the house a few times, do 20 jumping jacks, etc for my boys who are ultra-physical and could use the distraction of movement.

Mrs. Tabb's First Grade Awesomeness: How I Decorated my Classroom For Under $25.00! ~~~~ some cool ideas and DIYs.

I like this twist on the classroom management chart...if kids move their clip up to outstanding, they put a jewel on their clip and a reward postcard goes home to the parents. Let the kids keep the clip when its full of jewels!

In class--as a reward at the end of the month--no negatives? Have everyone who is playing get in a big circle, one player gets the tape ball and the player in front of them a pair of dice. The player with the ball removes tape as fast as they can and anything they dislodge is theirs to keep. The player with the dice is trying to roll doubles as quickly as they can so they get a turn. As soon as they get doubles they pass the dice to the person next to them and then they get the tape ball.
