    Star Castle in the Netherlands Portanj Castle "Fort Bourtange" is one of these forts are located in the village Portanj, in the province of Groningen in the Netherlands. Built in 1593 by order of Guillaume Ier of the Principality of Orange (currently located south of the France called French the Principality of Orange), to control the only road between the Germany and the city of Groningen which was controlled by the Spanish during the eighty years war.
