Place value war - arrange into what they believe is the highest place value, and include speed to make it more challenging.

Place Value War with Uno Cards. Basically: Draw two cards from your pile, make the highest number you can, the person with the biggest number wins. The rest of the rules are just like the typical card game war.
Using UNO cards for Math games..... Place Value War. I like to have a place value chart ready made (say 3 places for hundreds.) turn over one card at same time as opponent, decide which slot to put it in. Then turn over next card choose where to put it...etc. Do this for as many place value spaces you decide to do. this way they try to get their lowest number in the ones place and highest number in the highest place value place. Once a card is placed, they need to keep it there. Who ever gets the bigger number when all place value slots are filled, wins cards.
Place Value War Shuffle the cards and divide them into two even piles, Next, put one pile face down in front of each player. Then, each player flips over one card. That goes into the highest value slot. Flip over a second card each, this goes into the ones place (or next place value slot.) Each person reads out their number and then they determine who's number is highest. That person earns all the cards of that round. The game continues until one person has all the cards. "In the event of a "War," (tie) you place three cards each face down, and then draw two more; one for the tens and another for the ones slot (or as many as you need to fill your place values.) Then, you can choose to have the highest number overall win all the cards OR you can choose to have them add the two numbers together." - Au Pumpkin Patch

The website “Primary Press” includes # activities that aid in teaching math with the CCS. It includes different Number Mats, Number Sort Cards, Number Puzzles, and Number guys. Each activity includes a detailed description of the product, and a link to where to download everything if you don’t want to be creative and make them yourself. All of these activities would be nonlinguistic representations because they are using manipulatives and visuals to help learn about number sense.
