Rajan the swimming elephant by Jody MacDonald Rajan is one of the few salt water swimming elephants on Earth. He lives in the Andaman Islands with his mahout, or caretaker. He and many others were once employed to swim logs from the outer islands for the logging industry. He is now the only survivor of that group.

want to know why elephants are one of my favorite animals? Because they along with humans are known to die of broken hearts...when one member of an elephant pack dies they leave it behind, but they come back years later to the bones to mourn and cry remembering their loved ones
