“An Eastern Asian legend originating in China and also referred to in Japanese mythology as well. According to this myth, the gods would tie an invisible red string around men and women who were meant to be soul mates and in time, would marry one another. This magical string can twist, tangle, or stretch, but the ‘bond’ will neverbreak. The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of time, place, or circumstances.”

Red String Of Fate Tattoo – (it Should Be Her Pinky And His Thumb) “according To Chinese Legend, Two People Who Are Destined To Be Together Are Attached By An Invisible Red String Bound From A Male’s Thumb To A Female’s Pinky Finger. An Invisible Red Thread Connects Those Who Are Destined To Meet, Regardless Of Time, Place, Or Circumstances. The Thread May Stretch Or Tangle But Will Never Break.”

This has got to be one of the greatest photos I've seen in a long time. This little one underwent surgery and LIVED. He's a living angel .. and by Dad's wings .. he certainly looks the part too. Almost to ONE MILLION likes .. why don't you all give it the thumbs up yourself

The Red String of Fate: According to this myth, the gods tie a red string around the ankles (or, in some versions, the little finger) connecting two people who are destined to meet one another in a certain situation or help each other in a certain way. The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of time, place, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break.

Not mine but here is the story it came with. "Our couples tattoo. The design is the first letters of our names intertwined (e and j). Getting a tattoo with someone else was a new experience and an awesome one. We’re both very happy with the outcome." -e and j huh? How ironic... love the creativity in this. Still a cool design if things don't end so well for couple.

This is my third tattoo, and I’m already in love with it. My parents used to read me Shel Silverstein poems when I was little and I still read his books today. This particular poem, which is from the newest compilation With Everything On Top, really makes me think of my dad. He passed away last fall and most of the inspiration for my tattoos comes from him. This was done by Matt Bushart at Enchanted Dragon Tattoo Parlor in Sierra Vista, AZ.

two sisters got these. one says "I'll love you forever" and the other says "I'll like you for always". I like this

"This is a recorded sound-wave of my sister saying a quote by the artist Rob Montgomery: 'The people you love become ghosts inside of you and like this you keep them alive.'"

This is my elephant Frankie! He was my first tattoo. My roommate and I woke up one day and decided we were getting tattoos. I had had this design in the back of my head thinking about getting it inked… it’s just so simple. So I did! I got my first tattoo in my first week of college. And as for the name, my best friend Grace thought that it was a fitting name for an elephant.. so it stuck!
