From Sheneika Lofton: "My favorite book from childhood is Shel Silverstein’s A Light in the Attic. I remember my mother reading the poems to me and my a my side aching from laughing so hard. She would do funny voices and gesticulations as she read each poem. I recently bought a copy for my eight-year-old son. The illustrations are as funny as the poems. He loves it just as much as I."

Matilda by Roald Dahl. Read this to my 6 year old, very mature, girl. She was on the edge of her seat, and I wondered at times if it was too much. It wasn't, I guess, but you have to know your kid.

    Good Old books.
