I would LOVE to have an old feeder like this for our chicken coop! It'd be perfect to put kitchen scraps & goodies in for them!

Chicken Tales

Delaware chickens I'm looking at that chicken feeder! I also have one but in better condition found it at an Amish auction!

what chicks?!?! too funny backyard chickens.

Baby chicks know where to go if things get scary. That's right - straight under mama's protective wings! Mother hens are every bit as fierce in guarding their babies as any mother grizzly.

Nancy Luce....I hope you will read the story behind the picture and learn who Nancy Luce was. Her story is one of sadness and cruelty and love.

The sweet story of Nancy Luce and her beloved chickens. Buried at West Tisbury Village Cemetery, West Tisbury, Dukes, Massachusetts.

This rooster made me think of a friend's farm in Southern Alabama...the land, work ethic, love for nature, and agricultural/livestock/business skills passed down through many generations in their family. I admire it! so much But I do NOT admire their rooster who belts out crows at 4:00am each morning - Aren't they supposed to wait until the break of dawn?! :)

Rooster in Spring Green. ****I would love to have a little farm, equipped with my own alarm clock, a beautiful Rooster!
