Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre (Basilique du Sacré-Cœur)

Stairs to Sacre Coeur, #Montmartre, #Paris.

Ok, the Champs Elysees by night, in Paris, France - has to be one of the most romantic places to visit. I want to go.

Looking up to the main landing of the grand staircase at the Paris Opera House. The statues are meant to be holding "bouquets of light," as the electric lights were new when the theater first opened.

Moscow ~ Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Holy Virgin Mary ~ neo-Gothic church built 1901-11 ~ closed in 1938 and threatened with demolition, it was used after the war as a warehouse, then a hostel ~ Following the fall of communism in 1991, it returned to being a church in 1996. In 2002 it was elevated to the status of cathedral.

Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris France. My absolute favorite part of Paris was visiting this cathedral. I have a weakness for old architecture and stained glass windows. Visiting here was the third day in our two week college trip and I was on my way to coming down with pneumonia. Still, it was so worth it.
