"Everyone knows what rhythm is when it comes to music, but where does rhythm occur in visual art? This lesson shows how to create a low relief sculpture with rhythmic design in mind. Layer by layer, piece by piece, this three-dimensional collage is assembled with repetitious shapes and elements, illustrating the principles of rhythm, balance and movement." Blick Lesson

When Calder was in the fourth grade he sculpted a dog and duck from a sheet of brass as Christmas gifts for his parents. The duck rocked back and forth when it was tapped – one of the first examples of kinetc (moving) art. (from Masterclass Minis, brief artist bios that inspire young artists). Free download.

This is a great video about one point perspective.
