I think The Hunger Games trilogy is great!

Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella...hilarious series...the first two books are the best.
"Confessions of a Shopaholic" Sophie Kinsella ~all her books in this series are entertaining...to say the least.
"Confessions of a Shopaholic" - Sophie Kinsella - I hate that this falls into the silly "chick lit" category b/c it's so well-written and so hilarious! Love this whole series and not ashamed to say it :)
Confessions of a Shopaholic (Shopaholic Series #1) by Sophie Kinsella... such a fun author!
It's worth reading if you too have a shopping problem and appreciate fashion.

Shopaholic Series #1 - Confessions of a Shopaholic - Sophie Kinsella
By Sophie Kinsella. Favorite book.
Summary: Becky Bloomwood has what most twenty-five-year-olds only dream of: a flat in London's trendiest neighborhood, a troupe of glamorous socialite friends, and a closet brimming with the season's must-haves. The only trouble is, she can't actually afford it --- not any of it. Her job writing at Successful Saving magazine not only bores her to tears, it doesn't pay much at all. Still, how can she resist that perfect pair of shoes? Or the divine silk blouse in the window of that ultra-trendy boutique? But lately Becky's been chased by dismal letters from Visa and the Endwich Bank --- letters with large red sums she can't bear to read --- and they're getting ever harder to ignore. She tries cutting back; she even tries making more money. But none of her efforts succeeds. Her only consolation is to buy herself something ... just a little something ... Finally, a story arises that Becky actually cares about, and her front-page article catalyzes a chain of events that will transform her life --- and the lives of those around her --- forever. Release Date: February 6, 2001 Age Group: Adult Publisher: Dell Source: Library Review: I have recently discovered Sophie Kinsella, and along with it, the realization that I like chick lit. I like it a lot, actually. I never thought it would be for me: I thought it was too superficial, too light, lacking in depth and substance. But it's not. Chick lit is perfect for when I need a fast, fun, read. It's perfect for when I'm not feeling up to reading a book that makes me think too much. I always shied away from the Shopaholic series because I thought it was "beneath me," so to speak (see the above reasons why I have not read chick lit in the past). After reading and loving Sophie Kinsella's Remember Me and Can You Keep a Secret? I decided to start the Shopaholic series. I love shopping, so I really identified with Becky. I have never shopped to the point to where I am in debt, but I can totally understand how easy it would be to get to that point. I have Mr. I'd So Rather Be Reading to keep me in line there. Anyway, Becky is in debt but can't stop shopping. She is, of all things, a financial journalist, but is not interested or invested in her job. She basically just wants to wear pretty clothes and have a good time. She decides she has to start either cutting back or making more money to get out of debt. Cutting back is an epic fail, and making more money is not going well either. Until things start to change. What I loved about this book was Becky's quirky personality. She continually surprised me. Just when I thought she was hopeless, she started to grow and change. The best thing about the book, though, was the humor. Oh, my gosh, it was so funny! I kept laughing out loud while reading, over and over again. I love when a book makes me laugh! I thoroughly enjoyed Confessions of a Shopaholic and will definitely be back for more.

Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Cycle - I am in the process of reading the last book. Have enjoyed the 3 other and hate to see it all end.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christopher Paolini's series, The Inheritance Cycle! When you get a chance, definitely pick it up!
I am reading the final book in Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Cycle. This final novel brings us to the conclusion of Eragon's quest. All of the books are based on a strong tradition of quest literature and fantasy. Paolini has shown growth and maturity as he progresses through these novels. Remember, he began this series as a teenager.
The epic conclusion to Christopher Paolini's wildly popular hit series Inheritance Cycle.

Story of a reunion between two former high school sweethearts..Touching story!
Favorite book that I have read so far by my favorite author :)
Hey Today I bring you a review from the talented Nicholas Sparks, he also features on my current Reading List. The Best Of Me Nicholas Sparks Published: 2012 292 Pages Amazon | Waterstones | Barnes & Noble Description: The Best Of Me is the heart-rending story of two small-town former high school sweethearts from opposite sides of the tracks. Now middle-aged, they've taken wildly divergent paths, but neither has lived the life they imagined...and neither can forget the passionate first love that forever altered their world. When they are both called back to their hometown for the funeral of the mentor who once gave them shelter, they will be forced to confront the choices each has made, and ask whether love can truly rewrite the past. Review: As with every Nicholas Sparks book you find yourself drawn into the story, before you know it your bawling your eyes out. I really enjoyed this story. Of course it's another love story but a unique one all the same, it leaves you wishing you could experienced a love like that. I felt connected with the two main characters, Nicholas sparks sure knows how to transport you into their world. It touches your heart and shows you what true love is like. Even though it does get sad and you end up screaming "NO" at the book, everything turns out like it should. And some how Nicholas captures all this in a mere 292 pages. Genius! My rating: 5/5 Would I recommend?: Yes, there hasn't been a Nicholas Sparks novel I haven't liked. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Are you a fan of Nicholas Sparks, if so let me know what your favourite book is. Happy Reading XOXO Debbie FTC: I purchased this book with my own money. All opinions are my own & 100% honest. Description is from Goodreads & Image is from Google.

First off, TGIF! It's been a long week. Anyway, since it is Friday, it's time for the Book Blogger Hop, a meme hosted by Crazy-for-Books every Friday, where you can visit and be visited by other book bloggers! This week's question is: In honor of Book Blogger Appreciation Week, let's take time this week to honor our favorite book bloggers and why we love them! Well, I think my favorite book blogger (biased, yes) would have to be my mom, Suko, from Suko's Notebook. :) While she not only is my mother, Suko posts fabulous reviews, giveaways, and author interviews all the time! She reads and reviews a variety of books and authors, ranging from Nicholas Sparks to Deepak Chopra! If you have a chance, stop by! :) Now, onto my review. Today, I finished The Guardian, by Nicholas Sparks, and I have to say that it is one of the best books I've ever read. I have read countless books in my lifetime, and this one definitely ranks in the top three. It is a typical Nicholas Sparks book starting off - a wonderful romance, halted by a terrible tragedy that leaves you teary-eyed for hours. This particular novel, though, is a thriller, as well as a romantic tragedy. Before Julie's husband of four years, Jim, dies, he arranges for a Great Dane puppy to be delivered to her after his passing, along with a note that says he will always love her, protect her, and be her guardian. Years later, she decides to begin dating, and that's when things turn... interesting. She dates a few guys who turn out to be duds, then meets Richard. He has a great job, is good-looking, and treats her like royalty. Yet she can't deny the feeling that she should be dating her husband's former best friend, and her current best friend, Mike. Well... let's just say that Richard doesn't do well with rejection. I simply couldn't put this book down. All in all, it's just an amazing book. I recommend it to anyone who just feels like reading a book they won't soon forget. :) The fact that Nicholas Sparks incorporated a dog in the story, too, made it that much more enjoyable, as I am a total dog person. Anyone who reads this book will just melt into the pages. I know I did!

Nineteen Minutes was an amazing story. It kept me hooked from beginning to end. Definitely a book worth reading more than once!
This is not only one of my favorite books, but also one of my favorite authors! If you haven't read any of her books do so!
By far my favorite Jodi Picoult book and in my top five favorite books ever read. It is a gut wrenching novel about a school shooting. Picoult is an amazing author that can take a black and white situation and form an area of grey in your mind
This is one of my favorite Jodi Picoult book. It's about a 17-year-old high school student who has been bullied for years, and one final incident pushes him over the edge and leads him to commit school shooting.
Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult. Riveting and timely....the horrors of a school shooting, the intertwined characters and their own stories, the message. Jodi Picoult has quickly become one of my favorite authors.
One of my favorite Jodi Picoult books, and the first book I read from her. It really opens your eyes to both sides of the story. In society today, school shootings and bullying are a hot topic and this book explores both sides of the story, and you find yourself having compassion and empathy for the side that is not always seen in a positive light.
best Jodi Picoult book in my opinion. About a high school shooting, and the whole book takes place in 19 minutes.
This is just one of my favorite books by Jodi Picoult but most of her books are all worth reading.

Bossypants by Tina Fey--I listened to the audiobook of Bossypants (read by the author, which I loved) on a road trip and enjoyed it. Though it's not the type of book that I would add to my "re-read" list, it definitely kept me cracking up during some parts and was an entertaining read. Rating: 7/10

Harry Potter~books & movies. One word FANTASTIC
TGIF! Tomorrow is the official start of summer which means my motivation to be in work is at an all time low. Let's just say my priorities are focused on being outside by the pool as much as possible and this whole working 40 hours a week in a cubicle isn't really helping with that priority. But, enough complaining from me because we have the next 2 days off to celebrate the start of summer! Here is what I'm loving this week: Breaking Bad I finally started Breaking Bad on Netflix (I know, I'm super late to the party). Now that all my shows have taken their summer hiatus I've been looking for something to get addicted to. I'm already hooked and I have been marathoning every chance I get. Have you guys been marathoning a new show during summer? Vince Camuto Abstract Print Dress I saw this dress last weekend at Macy's while Fathers Day shopping for my dad and I fell in love. Sadly, I'm still on a spending freeze... but hopefully it will still be there in a couple weeks when my freeze is lifted because I'm obsessed with the pattern and colors. In all seriousness the entire Vince Camuto summer line is amazing, so many bright colors and prints. Ben and Jerry's Peanut Butter Fudge Core My weakness will always be ice cream. If I had to choose one dessert to eat for the rest of my life, I'm always going to go with ice cream. Last week I got to try the new Peanut Butter Fudge Core from Ben and Jerry's and let me tell you... it's heaven in a container. If you're looking to splurge on a delicious treat, this is the one you should go for because it's phenomenal and sooooo worth the 1000000 calories. The Harry Potter Series So I've seen all the Harry Potter movies but I'm thinking that I'm going to start reading the book series this summer in preparation for when I go to Harry Potter World at Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure in November. With Breaking Bad and the Harry Potter books being on this Friday Favorites, it's very clear to me that my pop culture obsessions are delayed a couple years, sorry about that guys...jumping on the bandwagon very late this week. Wantables Box A couple weeks ago I won a Wantables box on Taylor's Blog and it just arrived this week. Wantables allows you to choose a category (make-up, intimates, or accessories), subscribe for $36 a month, and fill out a style survey. Then once a month a box of goodies arrives at your door filled with items tailored to you! I won an accessories box and inside I received a fabulous gold bangle, a statement necklace, scarf and sun pair of sunnies. If you're an accessory fan I highly suggest the sign up, plus they make great gifts for friends and family. Thanks again Taylor for introducing me to a great company! What are you loving this week? xoxo
so much better than the movie!!!!
Eragon Book, Fantasy Books, Books I Ve, Book Review, Books Books, Favorite Books
Eragon just started reading it and it seems really cool. Its about a poor farm boy who finds a blue stone which turns out to be a dragon egg. Once the egg hatches the boy and dragon go on many adventures together
Eragon - Christopher Paolini. When Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy; perhaps it will buy his family meat for the winter. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. FSP PAO
Eragon is the name of the book's protagonist, like Paolini fifteen when he starts his adventure. Eragon is an orphan living with his uncle and cousin in a small farming village in a remote corner of the kingdom of Alagaësia. This quiet life is shattered when a large blue stone materializes in front of Eragon. He is at first puzzled as to the nature of this stone, but when a baby dragon finally emerges, it occurs to Eragon that perhaps it was a dragon egg.
Eragon book is waaaaaaaaay better than the movie (agree)
Eragon. My most favorite book on the shelf!
Fifteen-year-old Eragon believes that he is merely a poor farm boy, until his destiny as a Dragon Rider is revealed. Gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save, or destroy, the Empire. (From Amazon.com) I have mixed emotions about this book. While I enjoyed it, there were somethings that bothered me. There was a lot of little things that leaned toward witchcraft such as fortune telling and some of the spells. The one character even admitted that she was a witch. There were other characters that were leaning that way also... Another thing was one scene where Eragon was healing the elf when he had to undress her. But the main thing that bothered me was that there was times when I thought of something as evil and Eragon passed it off as no big deal. There is an evil character but he doesn't really show up or really prove his evilness. I realize this is only the 1st book and it will most likely pick up in the other book. I guess what I'm really trying to get at is there was no real sense of an over powering good. Galbatorix was evil, as were Durza and the Urgals. The Varden wasn't exactly portrayed as good and Saphira, while she would do all she could to protect Eragon, she was still a very deadly creature that many people feared. I really did enjoy this book and the characters it seemed to be missing true meaning. Honestly what bothered me was the lack of something deeper, and that's Jesus. Most of the fantasy books I read are Christian. They don't always jump out like neon lights, there are plenty of little elements that point to Jesus. This book didn't have that because it isn't a Christian book. While reading this book I kept asking myself, "why can't I just like this book? What's wrong with me and popular books?" Books that are popular in the public eye are normally a red flag for me. Not all but a good portion of them. But I realized it's not me. It's the fact that Jesus has been driven out of our culture. He's treated like an inconvenience and that bothers me, as it should. Whole this book was excellent as far as plot, characters, and writing, it's lacking Jesus. This is not a book that I am going to be chomping at the bit to add to my personal library. I'm not even sure how quickly I'll be reading the next book... Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate this book, it was a good book and I enjoyed it, but it was missing a key element. Title- Eragon Author- Christopher Paolini Pages- Type of Book- Fiction Website- http://www.alagaesia.com/
Out of all the book series I have read, the Inheritance Trilogy has been one of the few to rise to my list of top three. Starting with Eragon, then Eldest, and lastly Brisingr Part 1 & Part 2, this series is one of the most well written book series I have ever read. Eragon is the story of a young boy, about 15, who comes across a blue stone in a notorious mountain range called The Spine. He ends up keeping this egg due to the fact that he can not sell it because no one wants something that came from the Spine. Everything goes well until the egg hatches, and out pops a dragon, who he later names Saphira, that will change his life forever. Eragon takes his place throughout the books slowly but surely as a Dragon Rider, set out to rid his world of Alagaesia from the evil King Galbatorix. These novels are full of fun, romance, action, mysterious plot lines, and suspense like very few other books bring. Eragon is diffidently a great read for the readers that want to have fantasy mixed with action in an easy to read trilogy. Praise for Eragon: -“An authentic work of great talent.”—The New York Times Book Review -“Christopher Paolini make[s] literary magic with his precocious debut.”—People -“Unusual, powerful, fresh, and fluid.”—Booklist, Starred -“An auspicious beginning to both career and series.”—Publishers Weekly -A New York Times Bestseller -A USA Today Bestseller -A Wall Street Journal Bestseller -A Book Sense Bestseller My Overall Score: 7.5/10 Critics: 9.0/10
