The Descendants is a 2011 American drama film directed by Alexander Payne. The screenplay by Payne, Nat Faxon and Jim Rash is based on the novel of the same name by Kaui Hart Hemmings. The film stars George Clooney, Shailene Woodley, Beau Bridges, Judy Greer, Matthew Lillard and Robert Forster
The Descendants (2011) This movie was alright but they screwed up the ending! They should have ended with that little girl camping on the beach! They ended with them watching tv on a couch instead, what? Same thing they're all together, but the beach would have been so much more meaningful! Blah.
Watched Alexander Payne's new film 'The Descendants'. Pace is slow, but the film is still quite entertaining, funny, and very sad at the same time. Clooney's performance is great and definitely Oscar worthy. Trailer: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/fox_searchlight/thedescendants/

The Paris Wife. The twist of the story is really worth reading.
Rebecca Smith, SEO editor The Book: The Paris Wife by Paula McLain "Most people turn to romance novels because they want to read about a couple that goes through hard times and then lives happily ever after. But, I have always been a fan of reading something that leaves a lasting impression. This book broke my heart, but in one of the most beautiful ways possible. The Paris Wife follows Ernest Hemingway and his first wife, Hadley Richardson, as newlyweds in Paris during the '20s. Their romance is colored by Hemingway's success and their eccentric band of cohorts: Gertrude Stein, Ezra Pound, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Zelda Fitzgerald. While their love story is surrounded by high fashion and fun, the pair also faces financial stress, the expectations of success, alcoholism, and deception. Hemingway fans know that Ernest and Hadley didn't last forever, but this story of their love just might."The Paris Wife, $11.68, available at Amazon.
