Amazon.com: Oceans Apart (9780310247494): Karen Kingsbury: Books

Oceans Apart. Not my favorite book of hers. The story is a mans journey to explain his biological son to his unknowing wife. Kinda thought provoking on a what it but the story was so-so but I do like the book cover. The pilot is my cousin Doug. 3 out of 8

A riveting story of secret sin and the healing power of forgiveness. Airline pilot Connor Evans and his wife, Michele, seem to be the perfect couple living what looks like a perfect life. Then a plane goes down in the Pacific Ocean. One of the casualties is Kiahna Siefert, a flight attendant Connor knew well. Too well. Kiahna's will is very clear: before her seven-year-old son, Max, can be turned over to the state, he must spend the summer with the father he's never met, the father who doesn't know he exists: Connor Evans. Now will the presence of one lonely child and the truth he represents destroy Connor's family ? Or is it possible that healing and hope might come in the shape of a seven-year-old boy? Karen was awarded the 2005 Retailer's Choice award for Inspirational Fiction Novel for Ocean's Apart, as well as the 2005 Gold Medallion Book Award, the most prestigious award given to Christian fiction.

This was one of the first books I read by Karen Kingsbury, and still one of my favorites...Have read it several times

Karen Kingsbury is one of my favorite authors ever! She uses fiction literature to really drive home Christian values.

This book will touch many womens lives dealing with too much on their plate and falling into a depression and not really knowing who they are anymore. It shows how to come out from behind those shadows to a renewed life with Christ.

I love Karen Kingsbury. Read all 387 pages at one sitting; just couldn't put it down.

Another of my favorite authors. Love her books! I've read several already and am working my way through a series of her books.
