Faith of My Fathers (Chronicles of the Kings Book #4) by Lynn Austin

This is a WONDERFUL book about doing what we have to do, instead of what we want to do.

Lynn Austin is one of my favorite authors. Fire By Night is series, but this one is my favorite. I love how there are two different stories of two girls who meet in the end. There's love, faith, war, etc.

In her newest release, While We're Far Apart, she expertly entwines the stories of three compelling characters--each struggling from loss and loneliness and deeply affected by World War II, which is raging in Europe....

The Strength of His Hand by Lynn Austin: 3rd book in her Chronicles of the Kings Series. This series is a wonderful combination of history, bible study, faith and redemption. The Strength of His Hand picks up with Queen Hephzibah being caught in idolatry by King Hezekiah. In a rage the King destroys the altar starting a fire that critically wounds him. After a brush w/death he enters a treaty that forces Judah to face the powerful Assyrian army. He learns a lesson of forgiveness and faith.

The Notebook - I've never seen the movie, nor have I enjoyed any of his other books the way I enjoyed this one.
