Slow cooker - Sugared pecan or walnut recipe with cinnamon and spices-Ingredients: 16 ounces pecans or walnut halves 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
Candied Pecans 1 egg white 1 T of water 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 lb pecan halves 3/4 c of sugar 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp of salt Preheat oven to 250. Beat the water, vanilla and egg white in a large bowl until foamy. Stir in the pecans. In a separate bowl combine the sugar, ground cinnamon and salt. Gradually add mixture to the pecans making sure every nut is coated. Pour into a 9 x 13 pan and roast for 1 hr, stirring every 15 min. Let cool, store in an airtight container.
cinnamon roll knot (Im thinking the technique would work well with garlic butter and parmesan cheese too!)... not written in english but the idea sounds excellent!
This is a Christmas tradition at our house and they're awesome if you can take all of the stirring! We also mix half and half brown and white sugar and now I'm gonna have to try it with the added spices! So far, have only added cinnamon. :)
