Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum  Weston, West Virginia. Once known as the Weston State Hospital, this asylum was home to thousands of people with mental illness, starting in 1864. It is said that the last 20 years the hospital operated were aggressively violent.  Numerous murders between patients occurred, including female employees that were maliciously attacked.
