Great ladies all-Mrs. James Rector, Mary Dubrow, Alice Paul (members of the National Woman's Party) picket the Republican Convention of 1920 for its refusal to support the Susan B. Anthony Amendment. The women's protest sign displays a quotation from Susan B. Anthony: "No self-respecting woman should wish or work for a party that ignores her sex".

Pres. Clinton issued 364 EO's; LBJ-324; JFK-214 (that was in just 2 yrs); Pres. Truman-896; FDR-3728...It is amazing to me the things that people suddenly become aware of when they have a "prejudice" against the man currently in office. With the amount of obstructionism Pres. Obama has faced, I am amazed he hasn't issued more. (Link to National Archives data).

One would have to know the "content" of those EO's. It's one thing to issue an EO stating July as "have a picnic month", and another that completely changes a law signed by congress. The amount of EO's issued by a president is irrelevant unless the content is also judged.

EO's are typically passed in contrast to the opposition the idea faces. For the first to years BO had majority support in both houses. How many would he have passed if it was opposition all the way?

Because of strict mourning rituals, when a woman was in mourning, she couldn’t wear or display anything bright or flashy — even shiny pins keeping her clothing together. So women would use these mourning pins to button their clothes. The pins resemble thin black nails.
