16x20 Canvas Painting- Confetti: Metallic. $81.00, via Etsy... but lets be honest, a great DIY
• Paint a stretched canvas from an art-supply store in your desired color. • Plot out your design in pencil on the back, keeping dots a half-inch apart. • Gently press an awl through each dot in your design to make a hole slightly smaller than the diameter of the bulb. • Press a bulb into each hole; secure each with craft clue.
This looks easy enough. I would cover a longer wood piece with fabric to make a multiple hook holder.
Another pinner said, "Just need a round foam paintbrush - Did this for my bathroom! Used all the grey colors from the walls and a green, pulled from the shower curtain. Super simple and turned out perfect! I would use teal instead of yellow." Rhonda: Mom for your grey bedroom!!
SarahJo Ciotti thought of you with this tutorial :) light up the night (build a simple wood frame from 2x4s and add crossbeams, drill small holes to put cords through in the bottom of each opening, paint your frame and screw to the wall, fill each space with lights and connect all cords, cut translucent panels from polycarbonate sheet and fix to the frame with screws)
The backdrop is made by poking holes through the canvas with a sharpened nail. Push string lights through holes after deciding on the pattern you want to make. Use glue dots to keep the lights in place.
