A great wine can make even ordinary food extraordinary. One of my favorite Chard's is Chateau Ste Michelle. It goes great with seafood, pork and poultry. This Washington state wine is reasonably priced and definitely worth trying.
I dare say you will not find a red wine under ten bucks that drinks like this one. Apothic is one of the boldest, most luscious and complex wines I've ever enjoyed. It drinks like a bottle that costs three times as much, easily.
“Our Shiraz has a dark and inky garnet color with a nose of ripe plums and blackberry jam. It follows with a full palate of creamy fruit, mocha and just a touch of black pepper that lingers. It is reminiscent of a chocolate mocha and blackberry cupcake.” Food Pairing Recommendations: Enjoy with spicy short ribs, Cajun catfish or steak au poivre.
