Fishtail braid how-to -my girls need to learn to do each others hair like this!! I cant do it so they may as well learn :) i know how to do that and french braid;)
Take full advantage of your snagged, pillow-tousled strands by braiding them in a low fishtail, then securing it in a ponytail at the nape of your neck. Wrap a thick strand of hair around the elastic, pin in place, then pull everything apart. A spritz of texture spray on the ends will complete this messy-chic look!
I couldn't do the braid all the way around myself but I got it halfway and then pulled the other side around and collected it in the back half up/half down. Turned out super cute! Definitely better on hair that is not freshly clean or add some texture with powder or hairspray first.
Messy side braid Ashley Tisdale combines two hair trends in one by opting for a side fishtail braid paired with sexy, tousled texture. To do, work with day-old hair, spray roots with dry shampoo and tease gently to give roots extra volume. Braid hair with the fishtail technique, secure ends and pull ends free for extra flair.
I was actually doing fishbone braids before everyone else caught on and decided that it was cool, unfortunatly I cut my hair off as a cute little freshmen and its still not long enough to get a really pretty one. And it helps if you don't have as many layers as me.
