...And that's the sign of a great writer!

some books are meant to be read like this . . .

Simons: Vintage library posters offer viral blast from bookish past - Our local Junior High :)

The Parasol Protectorate - Interesting Steam Punk (sort of) with Vampires and Werewolves of course...

Before JK there was Diana. My theory is that JK read Diana as a young girl, probably Charmed Life, and Harry is a riff on the themes found there. Not derivative, rather rooted in this history. I love all of Diana's books. She is missed.

The 3rd Discworld novel and the first to introduce the witches, especially Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg.

Tiffany Aching is one of my favourite characters ever. This is technically the 2nd in the series (1rst Wee Free Men) but my favourite title and series. Granny Weatherwax and the witches appear here. Terry Pratchett is a wise writer. His books are my self-help books!

Feb 2012 - Really enjoyed this one. Some biography, lots of feminist musings and laugh out loud funny!

Edward Gorey - No Such Thing…As Too Many Books T-shirt from Mlle Ghoul's Fairytales from the Shadows.
