Ok this has soo much potential. You want to incorporate Middle Earth into that theme? This is a way we could do it. Middle earth maps as the backdrop of bookshelves. Easy to do. Or you could pull together any Tolkien text or quotes and we could type it up in a LOTR font, print it and mod podge it into the backdrop. Maybe stain the paper or print it on special paper.

Do something like this with vellum over one of the maps?

Now I know what to do with the tourist maps that I have boxed away somewhere. What a cut way to diy keepsake.

Loving this color scheme with the yellows and blues - the large map on the wall is pretty cool too.

the map fades away into a soft blue wall the portrait lamp above the map baskets! accessible paper and art materials, but not clutter.
