    Dresser Turned Bench- might take this idea and throw my own spin on it. make it lower to the ground. and ea. kid a window seat in their br. use the drawer to put blankets or as storage... a throw pillow to match the seat and maybe a little bookshelf on the side to hold a few of their favourite stories.

    Laminate furniture painting. Use Zinsser's 'Cover Stain'. It dries in an hour without sanding. Oil based primer, use Penetrol additive with foam roller to minimize brush strokes. 2 coats and then sand smooth with sandpaper.
