    Better-Than-Takeout Chicken Fried Rice: I don't know what sort of magic sauce they use at hibachi places, but I've yet to find a fried rice recipe that tastes as good as or better than what I've gotten at restaurants. I would recommend using butter or olive oil rather than Sesame Oil, and only half the called for amount of soy sauce. Replace the other half with teriyaki sauce. Cook your chicken with teriyaki as well, and this dish is amazing! I use bell pepper instead of peas and carrots.

"Better-Than-Takeout Chicken Fried Rice"- must try

Better-Than-Takeout Fried Rice 4 c rice, prepared 1/2# chicken breasts, cooked 1 c peas & carrots, frozen 1 white onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic 2 eggs 3 T sesame oil 1/4 c soy sauce Prepare rice according to package instructions to yield 4 c cooked rice. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet on medium heat. Add onion, garlic, peas, and carrots. Stir fry until tender. Crack eggs into pan and scramble, mixing throughout vegetables. Add rice, chicken, and soy sauce to pan.

BETTER-THAN-TAKEOUT CHICKEN FRIED RICE - 1/16/14. Really, really good! Made the slow cooker teriyaki chicken mentioned in the recipe to go with it. Good choice. Slightly increased the recipe (4 cups of rice, 3 eggs, whole bag of frozen peas and carrots) for our family of 5 and there were still leftovers. Will definitely make again and really looking forward to the leftovers!
