Sylvie Guillem, at age 48, continues to defy the laws of ballet. She makes bold choices and has changed the popular image of the ballerina. In 1984, she became the Paris Opera Ballet’s top-ranking female dancer after performing in Swan Lake. As well, she has danced in In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated, Giselle, and Don Quixote.
