An awesome read for any of my friends that haven't done socratic seminar before...it is my fav activity to do!!! Socratic Seminar in the Classroom
Socratic seminars are an amazing way to get your students using their higher order thinking skills. They also require students to cite textual evidence and analyze a piece of text, both of which are important skills. This pin links to step by step directions for how to use Socratic seminars in your classroom. There are a lot of extra links and close reading materials within the site as well. This is set up for a class with many students, so one drawback is that it will not always be applicable.

Integrate iPads Into Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy With This ‘Padagogy Wheel’ #Classroom #technology #ideas
Edudemic is a great resources for teachers (and students) with plenty of ideas for how to incorporate technology in the classroom. This Pedagogy Wheel integrates iPads and Bloom's Taxonomy
The Padagogy Wheel- 62 iPad apps sorted by Bloom's Taxonomy Level complete with action verbs and activities. Amazing free printable resource!
The Padagogy Wheel During my research I saw lots of great work done by others using Bloom’s Taxonomy including the Revised Taxonomy which has now become the Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy. However when I discovered the excellent pioneer work done by Kathy Schrock with “Bloomin’ Apps” I got the idea for the Padagogy Wheel.
Integrate iPads Into Blooms Digital Taxonomy With This Padagogy Wheel - super easy to find what you are looking for. find what you need help with in the classroom and find the right app. One downside is that not all are free or allowed in all school districts. would be a great resource for ideas though.
This Bloom's Taxonomy wheel breaks down exactly how we can use various iPad apps and technology in the classroom in a meaningful and purposeful way. Not only does it organize various iPad apps by the different levels of Bloom's Taxonomy, but it also provides various activity suggestions. A great reference for planning tasks.

Learning strategies: The Socratic method of teaching is based on Socrates' theory that it is more important to enable students to think for themselves than to merely fill their heads with "right" answers. Therefore, he regularly engaged his pupils in dialogues by responding to their questions with questions, instead of answers. This process encourages divergent thinking rather than convergent.
