    Mitzi's Bookstore in Rapid City

I'd spend hours and hours unpacking the boxes of fresh books and selecting which part of the store which genre should go in and which books should face out and which ones should pile on top of each other decadently. I'd putter all day long making sure all the words and feelings and colours were just right.

I want this to be my book shop....where I will read stories to kids in the afternoon.....and sell pastries and exotic hot chocolates.....where you can trade books, buy books, read books, have book chats, clubs, and parties. *sigh*

Books on the bookshelves | And stacked on the floor | Books kept in baskets | And propped by the door | Books in neat piles | And in disarray | Books tucked in closets | And books on display | Books filling crannies | And books packed in nooks | Books massed in windows | And mounded in crooks | Libraries beckon | And bookstores invite | But book-filled rooms welcome | Us back home at night! ~L.R.Knost www.littleheartsb...
