This is Reinertson's school motto! How Full is Your Bucket? for Kids by Tom Rath is another picture book to share with children. The message is simple - random acts of kindness towards others will in turn make you feel good.

How Full Is Your Bucket? For Kids "When Felix wakes up one morning, he finds an invisible bucket floating overhead. A rotten morning threatens his mood - and his bucket - drop by drop. Can Felix discover how to refill his bucket before it's completely empty?" Glorious way to teach children about kindness. This concept is spreading throughout my school.

Building Community -A young boy named Felix learns how to become a “bucket filler” instead of a “bucket dipper” when he realizes that all words and actions affect people in different ways. We can make an effort to help people feel good about themselves. Read aloud this book to your students during the first week of school and discuss the idea that we all have invisible buckets that need to be filled. When our bucket is full, we feel happy and good about ourselves, but when our bucket is empty...

"A Bad Case of Tattle Tongue," by Julia Cook. A hilarious and engaging story that helps kids understand the difference between tattling and telling. Perfect for the primary grades AND for the older classes that just haven't been able to grasp that concept yet either, lol.

Read the book "There" to help students create their overall goals for the next school year.
