Mandarinfish ~ when my folks had a saltwater tank of fish, they had 1 of these. They're sooo shy, but when you're lucky enough to see it, they're a beautiful fish to see!

Dragonets (“little dragons”) are an unusual species of bottom-dwelling fish that have no scales. They do have an abundance of showy fins and a wide, triangular head that someone, sometime, reminded someone of dragons. Some species of Dragonets display a brilliant mix of contrasting colors and patterns – they don’t call it the Psychedelic Mandarin Dragonet for nothing!

Translucent fish!

The Mandarinfish or Mandarin dragonet, is a small, brightly colored member of the dragonet family, which is popular in the saltwater aquarium trade. It looks more like an intricate painting that it does a fish, its entire body is made up of wavy alternating lines of orange, blue and green. Sadly, these fishes do very poorly in captivity.
