This looks like a copycat recipe of that Olive Garden soup I love. Well, this is the vegan version but I bet it's easy to toss some sausage back in and use chicken broth as the base.
Made this recipe tonight. It ended up having additions because the end product was just too bland because I used completely salt free broth, so I ended up doubling the spices and added 1/2 tsp nutmeg and a splash of blackstrap molasses. Will make it again but will grate the onion!
